Bruce/Charmian, as I mentioned at last week’s COG meeting there has been a
group of Yellow-tailed Blacks including dependent young (these are so for a long
period), in the area for the past two months, particularly on Narrabundah
Hill.
The biggest number I have seen together is 16 on 16 February, certainly the
most for a number of years.

Cockatoos
I wonder if it’s the same flock I saw crossing the Cotter Rd (flying south)
near the Parkway on Tuesday. I counted 12.
They may be being displaced from Dunrossel Dve, where many pines are being
cleared.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hi
A very large flock of yellow tailed black cockatoos has been flying over
Duffy/Holder this morning. I counted 15 in a group in flight, three more in a
tree near the oval, and three in a gum tree next door to us in Dixon Drive. The
three next door included a dependent young who was being fed. They are still
flying round now making wonderful calls (at 9.53).
