Heard Boobook from 0300-0303h this morning about 380m from our house. There's a big pond near the Roden Cutler /Mobourne roundabout in Bonner. Three mature eucs. then bare paddocks . Like the first blowfly of spring, could this be a new competition? Has anyone heard Boobooks during summer? I'm usually up and on our al fresco in the early hours and have not heard this species in the last four months? Could others post their first call of autumn please?
B. Graham
