Or at
least baring the possibility of something rare, and assuming that the bird 2 is
a little bird, on the likelihood that they are something common, they perfectly
match Curlew Sandpiper
and Red-necked Stint. I can also suggest that though the beaks look
different (and a different pattern on the feathers), is a pretty good
indication that they are not the same species.

I'm pretty sure bird 1 is a curlew Sandpiper, and bird 2 is a red-necked
stint :)
