Hi All Whilst in my House in Brazel St, Higgins, I heard a male koel calling, and a female responding - they were close! In my excitement to see a female again, I screamed outside with my binoculars like a puppy chasing a ball. Bam. The male koel was casually perching on the powerline just above my back fence. He saw me and flew into my neighbor's yard. I waited around and a minute or so later, he fluttered into the yard just over the fence, chattering as he disappeared behind a shed. This is how it stood: male flew in, female flew out. There she was. Screaming inside, I grabbed Dad's camera and went out for a few pictures. The pictures were average. She then flew onto Northmore St, where I began to pursue her. She, being a beautiful bird, kept me captivated for what must have been an hour. Eventually we made our way back to Brazel St. She sat on a clear branch allowing me to take a picture. In hindsight, I was more interested in her than the male Koel. Matt. Attachment:
