Well, the folk down at The Swathe were so pleased with their picture they had it made into postcard format to send to their friends. They are happy with their new clearing, and have learned several new words and phrases: ‘typha’, ‘machete’, ‘out-in-the-open’, ‘there-it-goes’, and ‘which-one-is-that’. They hope you have a jolly festive season, and say that if you have any presents for them you can just throw them over the ‘brush-fencing’ – if they are too big to fit through the ‘bloody- awkward-openings’.
