Information from ACTEW re the Fyshwick Sewage Ponds

I've reproduced below the text of a letter received from ACTEW Water, in response to a query I sent them about how long the FSP might be out-of-bounds.  Sandra H

I am writing to advise you that construction works have recently commenced within the boundaries of Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant located on Dairy Road, Fyshwick.

 

The nature of the work is essential and relates to the performance of earthworks to allow three effluent storage lagoons to be remediated to increase their operational life. These works are being performed on behalf of ACTEW Water by Dale & Hitchcock Civil Engineering & Landscaping.

 

At this time the anticipated completion date for this work is September 2013.

 

Therefore given these construction activities, in accordance with the ACT Worksafe Harmonised Legislation, the construction site will be closed off to the general public to ensure their safety. Under no circumstances should the general public enter and traverse the site during construction. Please note also that Dairy Road will experience increased traffic during this period of time.
