A pair of Rufous/Nankeen Night Herons flew over the little North Watson wetlands at about 8am or a bit earlier. There was no way they could land. The magpies and other birds were insane, with screeching and chasing them away. I faithfully recorded the moment on my blog in case such an interesting thing never happens again in Watson, though my photo is only good for id, nothing pretty. I'd also like to use this opportunity to thank those who have welcomed me to this list and sent responses to my enquiries. I wish you all the best for a great birding summer.
