Hi everyone
I assume the attached is a cuckoo chick. Although I observed it for round half an hour I saw no parenting activity. It was calling with a monotonous 'peep' call. Any advice on ID would be appreciated. The location was a couple of hundred metres down New Chums Rd from the junction with Wark's Rd. This might sort of channel the ID towards Brush Cuckoo or Fan-tailed Cuckoo, both of which are often seen in that grid.
regards
Con
