Approximately 10:00 hrs today while outside Hawker shops, I looked up during a sprinkling rain shower, trying to will a bit more precipitation, and saw what I took to be someone’s model airplane, a B-24 Liberator, but the frontal superstructure wasn’t nearly ungainly enough and the wing loading seemed to be coping pretty well. A few second’s serious consideration told me I was looking at a Channel-billed Cuckoo. It was on north easterly heading.
