I
can't verify what you heard - awake or in a dream, but the answers to: Do they call at night and is it
possible to hear it in Hughes? is yes and no reason why not in
Hughes. So it probably is a Koel. The pair were still noisy around my place at
dusk last night.

several times. Then I remember that people were talking about a koel.
I have never heard a koel's call. Do they call at night and is it
possible to hear it in Hughes? Or I was dreaming. It was a hot
night.
