I flushed a group of at least 16 Superb Parrots from grassy roadside at the AIS at around 8am this morning - and there seemed to be several smaller groups as well flying around.  My list for the campus and its immediate surrounds is now over 50 species, with a Black-shouldered Kite also present this morning close to the wetland near Ginninderra Drive, a Brown Quail in grass near the electricity substation, a group of 3 Noisy Friarbirds chasing each other near the women's football oval, and a group of Little Ravens on the Bruce Ridge side of Bruce Stadium.  A pair of Masked Lapwings close to an accommodation block had a tiny chick with them. Those  members interested in exploring the site can join COG's December Wednesday walk around the AIS on Dec 19th - look out for more details closer to the time.
