I didn’t know that the male currawong feeds the female when she is on the nest. Having watched a currawong pair in the same tree for several years, I believed I had seen the male feeding the female for the first time a few days ago. Yesterday I was able to confirm this with photographs. Sure, it was only a small morsel he brought her, but he perched briefly quite close to me as he approached the nest, and indeed, did have a small morsel of food in his beak.
