Seeing this story about Welcome Swallows brought to mind a pair of
Welcome Swallows that appear to enjoy living inside the Canberra
International Sport Centre at Belconnen where i am a member. When i am
relaxing in the jacuzzi in an evening i regularly see a pair darting
high up in the metal beams of the large sports hall. When i spoke to
some of swimming attendants they said they had been there for months and
they think they have a nest within the inside of the roof complex - they
also said they were there over the winter. During the day at least one
small door is open and they enter through that and then are effectively
shut in the for night. No-one else as far as i can see when in the
jacuzzi bats an eyelid when the Welcome Swallows whizz by over head !
