Conditions were fine & sunny  ideal for bird watching when thirteen COGers met at Mt Majura with the main object to flush out the possibility of some Glossy Black Cockatoos. A search of various locations in the week prior failed to find any sign of GBCs & that was the case on the 2nd.  However we did see & hear a total of 33 species. The feature was a very good sight of a male Golden Whistler in full plumage, & several Rose Robins. On conclusion of the walk 4 Noisy Friar Birds were also seen. List of  birds seen were -
Wedge Tailed Eagle, Magpie, Pied Currawong, Noisy Miner, Crimson & Eastern Rosellas, Grey Butcher Bird (heard), SC Cockatoo, Kookaburra, Wood Duck, R Wattlebird, Gang Gang, WT Treecreeper, GST, Yellow Faced Honeyeater, S Fairy Wren, G Fantail, W Wagtail, WW Chough, B Gosshawk, Y R Thornbill, BR Thornbill, R Robin, S Robin, Spotted Pardalote, G Whistler, Wattlebird, Weebill, Bronze Wing Pidgeon, Galah, N Friar bird & Yellow Tailed Black Cocckatoo (wrong sort but nice anyway)
