Hi Bruce I assume that many on this group would appreciate a dedicated spot/person to report Spotted Doves in a systematic manner rather than sporadic emails to Canberrabirds, (which after a while may generate negative vibes towards the reports). Here in Watson for example, SDs are near daily occurrences. Is there anything in the pipe? All agree: we don’t need another feral in the ACT. Important all obs & especially breeding records are reported. A morning call I can do without. Home now sounds like every just about every other urban area in Australia. Is there an effective way of getting rid of them?

While nothing else unusual, there was a lot of activity near the new toilet block including Varied Sitellas, Speckled Warblers and a pair of Yellow-rumped Thornbills lining the inside of their nest. |
