Hi Margaret

I know the family at the callam brae homestead and they say that they have seen one echidna, but closer to the house and it was a while ago. So there is potential for them to be around.

On my recent walks on CB I have had a closer look at things on the ground.  Hollow logs with a diameter about 20 cm are showing signs of recent excavation, i.e. freshly scraped out woodchips, dirt and old spider/insect cocoons.  Also the entrances are mostly smooth now.

Since I have never encountered an echidna on Callum Brae, I am surprised to see so many potential echidna houses.  Or am I barking up the wrong log?
