Greetings. Ornithologist Chris Lloyd has been working with the Lake
Cargelligo community to document bird routes and prepare an annotated
bird list for the area. The close-to-finalised document is here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2s31wkrr9wsegy8/LCargelligo_06_12_Final.doc .
(I have dropped it into Dropbox as it exceeds the 100 kB maximum size
for emails posted to this list. I would hate to incur the wrath of the
list manager by exceeding that limit ;-) .)
Since many Canberra region birders have much knowledge of birds and
birding in that area, Chris would welcome feedback on this document's
contests. He is especially keen to hear any comments about the more
unusual birds as there are always challenges in working from historical
records. Are there any species there that should not be? For example, is
the Superb Parrot really found that far west? Is there anything missing?
I will be grateful if you will reply directly to Chris, rather than to
me: email him at chris.lloyd [at] wiyanga.com.au - change the [at] to @.
Thanks - David
