A brown-plumaged Scarlet Honeyeater was observed late this afternoon in
a mixed flock with Striated Thornbills and Grey Fantails. Discovered
from call, the bird fed briefly in a flowering Banksia and then departed
southward into Turner with the flock.
It may be worth looking out for this species in places such as the ANBG.
