Strange parrot

A strange parrot flew into a tree in my neighbour's yard this afternoon. I could only get a look from about 50m away and it had moved off by the time I got some binoculars. It was predominantly lemony-yellow on the front and tail and called three times with a three note "pit, pit, pit". It was too big to be a red rump and my references say it might be a female turquoise but that is just a wild guess. Can anyone out there narrow it down a bit more?
