Hi Matt Sounds like a Cisticola to me. Check the COG Gallery. http://photogallery.canberrabirds.org.au/old_world_warblers.htm#GHCI They change appearance in breeding season and eclipse. In breeding season they are noisy and obvious, calling from the tops of reeds, etc. But not so in winter. Hope that helps.
