Sun 17 Jun Emu Pierces Creek Forest
Emu (7) in two groups. The first comprised two adult emus on grazing land adjoining the state forest. The second group comprised an adult and four juveniles. Poor iPhone photo attached of second family group.

Tue 12 Jun Australian Reed-Warbler Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant
1 Australian Reed-Warbler, presumably over-wintering. Flushed from long grass, it flew up into a bare tree where it sat huddled for a minute or two before dropping back into cover.

Mon 11 Jun Olive-backed Oriole Kellys Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Fyshwick
1 adult Olive-backed Oriole. Good day for raptors with White-bellied Sea-eagle, Wedge-tailed Eagle, Little Eagle, Black-shouldered Kite (2) and Nankeen Kestrel (2) all seen at the Wetlands or the Sewage Ponds.
