Great images, Geoffrey.

It seems to me that the tail of the "meal" is relatively thick and short for a Mouse - which was my first assumption.
Makes me wonder if it might have been a Marsupial, i.e., Antechinus sp?

Comments welcomed.

At JWNR this morning I was discussing with the ranger what the hunting pair of BSKs were feeding on, only to come on the evidence a few minutes later.  The bird has both nictitating membranes fully closed for the swallow.
