Went up to witness the Transit of Venus about 10.45 this morning - stunning!! Did anyone else go? I spent almost as much time peering into bushes as into telescopes - I saw Double Barred Finches, Brown and Striated Thornbill, and what I THINK were Diamond Firetails - very quick view of a grey finch with a red tail.
