I'm not sure if they
enjoy the rain but it looked like it. One all blue male Satin Bowerbird
displaying in my back yard this afternoon with a various group of up to 4
green birds coming and going (although I guess there is a population of about 15
currently in my GBS area). The process carried on for most of the time it took
me to wash dishes, which is about an hour. Very hard to work out what was going
on, lots of calling, jumping around and posturing. There is a bower in the
neighbour's yard (not visible from my windows) but this was about 20 metres from
the bower. This all blue male has been in the area for at least the last
several weeks.
