Not common,
but then again, that depends how you define "common". Certainly is known that we
get occasional hybridisation. Why it happens when both species are presumably in
high enough abundance to not form mixed pairs is curious.

Hi everyone. For about 3 weeks there has been a single eastern
rozella and a single crimson rozella (both appear adult) eating and sitting
around together on the grounds of Old Parliament House. I see them a few times a
week, always near one another and never as part of a group with other rozellas.
Can anyone tell me what they think's going on with these two, and if it's common
