Hi Elizabeth,
Years ago I was hit on the forearm by the wing of a
domestic goose defending it's nest and It really hurt. If Black Swans can
put domestic geese to flight then I would not like to be caught by one that was
hell bent on hurting me while I was swimming.
Parents with children near swans with cygnets
should be vigilent that the children don't appear like they may hurt the
cygnets i e trying to pat them - the swans don't know the
difference.
