I am wondering if anyone, preferably from south side of Canberra, is
interested in combining transport and logistics (with me) to travel the vast
distances to the other side of town, where the Osprey has been observed.
(Rather hard for me to justify the expense and carbon use etc just for me
alone to see a bird that I have seen often in Qld and once in SE NSW.)

Subject: pelican and unosprey
Yesterday afternoon a single pelican sitting in a flooded paddock
between Cowra and Goologong. I mention it because of the somewhat
unusual setting, and because as far as I recall it's the only one I've
seen in the district this year.
Unfortunately I was out of town for the Thursday/Friday Shepherds LO
Osprey excitement (though there seems to be little evidence on the line
of anyone looking since?), but when I went out this morning the whole
valley was filled with fog. Any updates appreciated!
cheers
Ian
