There were several newly
arrived YFHEs up at the Pinnacle yesterday, mostly singles
and pairs, as well as a couple of White-naped HEs. Also a MFF that
included about 15-20 Grey Fantails, several Buff-rumps, 3 Scarlet
Robins, 4 or 5 Golden Whistlers, 2 Rufous Whistlers, 2 Varied
Sittellas and a pair of Leaden Flycatchers. That was a *very*
interesting 10 minutes!

Just after reading Lindsay's message I noticed a group
of 6 Yellow-faced Honeyeaters depart from one of our many
flowering stringybarks and heading, with many migratory sounding
'chips', in the general direction of Hoskinstown as they usually
do from here when migrating.
Looking at my past records this seems about normal timing for
here.

While
sitting outside enjoying lunch today a flock of 55
YFHE flew over followed shortly after by flocks of
45 and 20 all following the

on the move early this
year.
