This is a really trivial comment on the last thought. Of course no reason why these observations could not be two or several more than two, birds. However I don't agree on the logic there. At 35 km distance, that would be, potentially well under an hour's easy flying time for that bird. Over a period of over the past few months one bird could easily cover that distance many times. They are a wanderer.

As well as the Goorooyaroo bird reported to Birdline a Black Falcon was seen on Plains rd Hoskinstown yesterday morning.  This bird has been seen several times by various observers over the past few months so it seems to have taken up residence in the area.  As there is about 35km in a straight line between the two sites  there must surely be two birds.
