Howdy All,
I've just had an unusual group of immature Crimson Rosellas at my
birdbath outside my window. There were 6 immatures in a group,
jockeying for position at the birdbath (not much bathing got done,
one would fly down just as the other got started, moving it on
etc). There were at least 6 of them, but at one point I thought
there may have been 7. I've never seen a group like this
before. Too many to be siblings, but all without adult
supervision. Is this something common that I've just not noticed
before? Or just a gang of teenagers hanging around with each other
for a day out?
I thought I'd ask, just in case it is unusual. Definitely not
something I've seen before. Usually most immatures I've seen have
had adults present.
And I'm pleased to report that I've got White-browed Scrubwrens in my
garden for the first time in probably 5 years. I've heard them a few
times recently, but only yesterday and the day before actually
managed to sight one. They used to be a regular here years ago, but
it has been at least 5 years since they last were seen here by
me. Very nice to have them back again. I hope they stay around
permanently, as I love them flitting about from shadow to shadow. <grin>
I hope everyone is having a great day.
Cheers.
