Hi Alberta,

I'm relatively new to birding and new to COG so it's rare that I can help out - but I can here! My other half and I know the Uralla area well (Uralla is just south of Armidale and well worth a stop).

You could stop off at 'Dangar's Lagoon' which is close to Uralla - there is a bird hide there. Here's a link to some further info for you: http://www.uralla.com/things-to-see-do-19.html (click on the 'Dangar's Lagoon link) and I've attached the Dangar's Lagoon pdf.

If you're heading up via Wellington then a nice return trip might be through Mudgee. It's quite different countryside and nice to get the variety.

Safe driving and enjoy your trip!

Lucy.

Hi everyone,

I'm heading to Armidale (via Cowra) tomorrow and was planning on getting some birding done on my way up and down.

Does anyone know of any good birding spots along the way, or anything in particular I should be looking out for?

Any help very much appreciated!

Alberta.
