Geoffrey et al,Well, once the vegetation has been burnt off it will either be an even more spotted crake (i.e no cover, so you can see it easily), or it will become a spotless crake, because no-one sees it any more because it has moved on elsewhere (hopefully prior to the burning!). <grin> I don't think I have ever yet seen a crake, so they're all spotless to me.
