Well, once the vegetation has been burnt off it will either be an even more spotted crake (i.e no cover, so you can see it easily), or it will become a spotless crake, because no-one sees it any more because it has moved on elsewhere (hopefully prior to the burning!). <grin>

I don't think I have ever yet seen a crake, so they're all spotless to me. LOL
