Not long ago I wrote about how rare it was to see a Satin Bowerbird in moult from green to blue. And that this rarity is curious. This morning in my garden I had one. I found it as it flew into the big eucalypt and then went higher, so I mainly saw the underside. It was about 40% green below and 60% blue, in an untidy patchwork, with I think blue outer primaries.
