As well as the usual residents of the wetlands I noted some not-so-usual visitors:-
 
Nankeen Night Heron - flushed it fron a roost in the casaurinas and as it landed in one of the willows in the middle of the swamp and I could just make out the plain rufous colour of its wings/back - no mottling as in the immature NNH that had been around for awhile.
 
Great Egret, n-b Aust White Ibis, White-faced Heron, Sacred Kingfisher and immature Dollarbird - all around Kelly's Swamp
 
Male Darters by the bridge across the creek
 
Latham's Snipe just in front of the Ardea Hide until a Pacific Black Duck moved it on.

Also while passing through Forrest on Friday morning a flock of at least 20 GangGangs flew overhead.
