On one of my walks along the Kambah Pool track (towards Red Rocks) about 3 months ago, I flushed a quail, presumed to be this species, but too quick to be sure and at some other times, within the last few months, I have heard their calls from the grasslands along this walk track.

Heard a couple of Stubble Quail calling from the grasslands/paddocks at the Gleneagles end of Urambi Hills (Kambah) this morning.

Stubble Quail were present there most of last summer, but these are the first I've heard since then.
