This morning I was delighted to find speckled warbler(s) in a location where I had not previously encountered them. It is the zoo corner of Callum Brae, adjacent to Narrabundah Lane. And if I am not mistaken, leaden flycatchers and white throated gerygones are also in (and hopefully) nesting in that area. It would appear they are spending more of their time on the zoo side of the fence. This concerns me because I do not know what plans the govt has for the old zoo site, but it was advertised for sale for development at one stage.
