In the Frogmouth family I follow the young birds are frequently making a churring call during the day.  This makes it a lot easier to find them when they are in one of their common haunts.

Delighted this morning to find that the the 2 adult Tawnies had returned to their normal spot on O’Connor Ridge and even better they had  brought their 2 babies with them. This might explain why we had not seen them in their customary spot for some time now.
