I have been lucky enough to get close to the Shrike-tits near Diddams Close Belconnen over a couple of visits. They certainly have impressive strength when ripping bark off trees which makes it easy to believe the stories of the damage they can inflict on people handling them.  The linked video shows a male demonstrating its ability to deal with bark.
