Hi Donald and COG members

Not sure of the weather in Canberra today, but we have hot NW winds in Robertson today.

If that is the same in Canberra, Donald's sighting fits with my experience in previous years. They blow in on the strong North-westerlies, stay a few days and make their way back (presumably).
Certainly I have only ever seen them in Canberra in hot windy conditions.

Cheers
Denis Wilson.

While walking over Black Mountain at 8:50 this morning, an apparent Black Kite went over.  Size and forked tail were correct, but my view was hampered by trees.  Did anyone else see one today?
