Was
the Pair Leaden flycatchers and the Noisy
friarbird & then found its nest, in the same area? They often nest together.
One of the several spots where I found a pair of Leaden Flycatchers was where I
watched a Noisy Friarbird building a nest (neighbour tree).
I
found Dollarbirds, Sacred Kingfishers and Bee-eaters at a range of sites.

Whilst enjoying the blitz on Mt
Rogers (North Belconnen...Fraser, Flynn, Spence) on Saturday 29th
highlights were
- Sighting two male Superb parrots early in the
session and then three males at 12.15 preening near the Wicken place carpark.
Four Superbs then flew away a short distance to the northbut I'm not sure if
the 4th was a male.
- At least one Rufous fantail with a mixed feeding
flock at 10.30am
- Pair Leaden flycatchers
- Double-barred and Red-browed finches in recovering
area of Hazard Reduction Burn
- Owlet nightjar put in a brief appearance from one
of its nestboxes (Myna project n'box) in spite of its being dull and
showery.
- I was swooped with determination by a Noisy
friarbird & then found its nest
- Pair of Sacred kingfishers creekside
(Macrossan Cres) at Latham, yesterday 31st October from 10.30.
Seeking victims whilst perched intrees or high-tension cables.
- Evidence of Painted Button Quail from old
platelets in understorey leaf & bark debris also at Latham
creekside.
- Another walker reported having seen Dollarbirds
recently
