Answers to the second set. Again quite hard, being so tight around the eye. I thought the trace of rufous on the juv GST might have been a clue. The SFW was a brown male just beginning to acquire a trace of blue around the face. Bit of expertise needed to get the Pied Corm (must check if they’re still around the east end of LBG). Allowing Steve the sparrowhawk, that gives him a remarkable 7 out of 10.
OK, I’ve got a few eyes to use up, so I shall offer one more in the next message.

Well some of those were very difficult. Well done Tobias and Nicki and (inevitably) the uncanny Steve H. The idea is take as little or as much time as you want and check the IDs later that you might find interesting. I had thought there was SOME kind of internal clue in each one, without claiming for a moment that I would be able to pick it myself. In fact I think I’d only get 2 or 3. 30% would be excellent.
A second edition is inflicted herewith. Only 3 of these are passerines. Answers to both tomorrow night.
Meanwhile a labelled eye to help you get your own eye in. This chap has been recorded in Canberra but not recently. I hope you are all on the lookout.
