One Swift Parrot was seen in the Cook cycleway near Lyttleton Crescent at 3.45 today (Sunday). It was hurried away by a Noisy Miner, but the Ironbarks up and down the cycleway are flowering so it may hang around for a while.

It is similar timing and same location to the outbreak of Swift Parrots in 2004 which feasted on the Ironbarks and lerpy Redgums before heading south for summer.

cheers
