Hi all, I went back out to Kellys this afternoon - arriving just after 12.30. No sign of any snipe by me or several other people until, just as I was about to leave, at 2.00 pm, a final quick scan, and there they were, in exactly the same spot they were seen yesterday. They were visible for about ten minutes, then disappeared into the grass tussocks. Still hadn't reappeared when I left about 2.30, leaving four others to wait for the snipes' next appearance...
Also Glossy Ibis out from Ardea hide, and a Rufous Songlark at the side of the education building. Harvey On 25 September 2011 13:46, Peter Ormay <> wrote:
