I’m just reading Jack’s September Gang-gang column.

Not sure if it’s still interesting, but a Shining Bronze-cuckoo was in Cullum Brae last Sunday.  It was quite close to me but reluctant to leave a small euc that was infested with larvae which it ate for some time.  Also plenty of the other maybe-migrants including many Grey Fantails, a few BFCS, one Welcome Swallow and 6 Dusky Woodswallows.  And two Golden Whistlers still around.  No Reed-warblers, Friarbirds, Rufous Whistlers, Sacred Kingfishers seen or heard (and these are birds I can actually hear).

Catching up with the Chatline, I also notice that Sandra reported the pair of Black-shouldered kits a few weeks ago that I mentioned in previous message.
