out at Tharwa Sandwash yesterday nothing out of the ordinary in terms of birds, but disappointing to see one of the new picnic tables totally destroyed, and another with a large hole in it.  There was a stray dog in the carpark there, very thin, appeared to be starving, obviously dumped, and behaving a bit aggressively.  fortunately a ranger turned up to inspect the damage to the tables, and was able to call for some assistance to catch the dog. rangers removed the dog.

At Norgrove Park today, despite the noisy ongoing construction, an Oriole in the casuarinas, two greenfinches sitting up and calling in small trees on the lawns, and 15 red-browed finches. Both bridges from the Dawes St end currently blocked off as the planks on bridge desks are repaired.
