In the Carwoola area (about 780 - 820m AMSL) Dusky Woodswallows are back in large numbers and fighting in flight.  On reading HANZAB that would appear to be sorting out territories.  Yellow-faced Honeyeaters have been established for a couple of weeks.  A Fan-tailed Cuckoo was calling this morning and Pallid Cuckoos have been calling for about a week: about an hour ago 2 flew past about 100m West of my GBS site doing male call and female response.  Noisy Friarbirds are also in the general area.

On 3.09.11  Fuscous Honeyeaters were back in their summer breeding area around 840 m on Urila Road Tinderry, and a couple of Dusky Woodswallows down below on the Queanbeyan River. Also heard 2+ Yellow-faced HEs.
