Hi all,

I've seen a few birds of prey in the gardens this past week - two days ago a Hobby flew past near the CSIRO entrance to the gardens. Yesterday, a BrownGoshawk was causing trouble throughout the gardens, and a (possibly sick?) Boobook was perched on at waist level about 1m from the cement path leading from CSIRO to the CSIRO entrance.  It was gone when I left the gardens yesterday afternoon.  And finally, there is a Tawny Frogmouth hanging out at the top of the rainforest gully, upstream from the highest boardwalk - I don't think it can be seen from the path, unfortunately.

Finally, finally, there's been a Crescent Honeyeater calling at the top of the Sydney Gully over the past week or so, and many many rose robins singing and foraging in the gardens (as I guess is usual this time of year).

Cheers,

Tonya
