Plenty of small birds up there this morning, Superb Wrens, Weebills, Pardalotes, Silvereyes, a single Dusky Woodswallow. The real highlight was a pair of Wedgetailed Eagles perched in a dead tree. They were swooped by a Nankeen Kestrel several times before the Kestrel landed cheekily on another branch just in front of them. When the big birds took flight the Kestrel swooped again and was instantly joined by four Magpies and two Ravens harassing the big fellas on their way towards the Brindabellas. The Kestrel returned to the tree & was joined by another - a brief but intimate encounter then took place. The two separated and life in the dead tree returned to normal.
