Crested Pigeons have nested in an open-foliaged evergreen shrub adjacent to our driveway for at least the past four years; be it frosty July or blazing February. It seems that proximity of rain is the trigger rather than season of year. We have witnessed surprising aggression both towards conspecifics and others. Anyone who has kept Crested Pigeons in an aviary will probably be able to vouch for this trait. Yesterday there was an adult on the driveway nest and this afternoon I could see at least one nestling.
