The ANPS Wednesday walk ended up being along the base of Mt Majura.  The only exciting sighting was a flock of at least 70 Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos circling the area for the 3 hours we were there.  There are a lot of Allocasuarinas in the area with quite a few cones still on the trees.  Many cones were on the ground but none showed any signs of having been chewed by Glossy Black-Cockatoos.

I was told by a guy walking his spaniel that a pair of Gang-gangs were nestig in a small hole in a "white gum tree" (presumably a Brittle Gum).  I couldn't locate the birds but it appeared they can be seen entering the hollow from the fire trail at the spot indicated (roughly) in the attached image.  Since we get few breeding records of this iconic species it might be worth some of the citizens of the Inner North checking the area out.
